Advising Teachers

We have a set of Advising Teachers who work with you to organize your child’s education path in terms of: needs, requirements, and goals. They will meet with you and your child regularly (at a minimum of every three to four weeks) because parents/guardians are directly involved in the education of the child.. These teachers are trained and skilled, believe in our vision of family-centered education, love what they do, and are there to support and partner with you.

During your meeting each month they will:

  • Work with you on refining your child’s personalized plan

  • Help you and the student come up with the goals for the next month of work.

  • Review and collect work samples of prior months work

  • Answer questions, provide feedback, and support you and your child

  • Inform you of important information

  • They will also verify your child's online attendance form that is due approximately each month.

Plus…

Your advising teacher will also help assess your child:

  • We have internal benchmark tests that help you and your child understand their areas of strengths as well as areas they need to grow in.

  • As a public school all students 3rd grade and higher must participate in state testing.

  • The expectation is that all students will participate in the appropriate assessments.

  • Academic progress is necessary for continued enrollment at our school
